Caparo AP Braking are committed to compliance with health and safety legislation as a minimum, and the continuous improvement of health and safety performance, as an integral part of achieving business excellence.

It is our policy to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work to prevent occupational injuries, ill health and loss or damage of materials, plant and equipment on our premises and to prevent harm to the public in the locality.

Caparo A P Braking are committed to compliance with health and safety legislation as a minimum and the continuous improvement of health and safety performance, as an integral part of achieving business excellence.

It is our policy to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work to prevent occupational injuries, ill health and loss or damage of materials, plant and equipment on our premises and to prevent harm to the public in the locality.

The Senior Management Team will:-

Ensure that adequate information is provided to employees regarding health and safety issues and consult with employee’s nominated representatives at monthly health and safety committee meetings chaired by the Managing Director.

Provide the resources necessary to achieve the successful application of this health and safety policy, to ensure the necessary competence of all employees, and to provide expert advice where appropriate.

The Managing Director will:-

Work with the senior Management team to ensure that all employees are informed of current Health and Safety legislation and aware of their responsibilities.

Ensure that Hazard and Risk assessments are conducted for all activities within the business.

All levels of management will:-

Ensure that action is taken and controls implemented to minimise any risk as far as practicable.

Provide health and safety information, instruction and training and supervision for employees, with guidance from the H R Manager.

Consult with employee’s at regular health and safety committee meetings.

Have responsibility legally and as part of their job, for the effective planning, organisation, control, monitoring and review of health and safety.

All employee’s will:-

Comply with health and safety legislation, company rules and health and safety procedures.

Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be effected by their acts or omissions at work.

Report unsafe acts, conditions, accidents and near misses to management immediately, so that appropriate action can be taken.

Co-operate with management in the use of safety devices and equipment.
